December Transition Tips for Parents

The Hampton Special Education Department hosted its first monthly session of Transition Tips for Parents last night at the Patriot Center (formerly Tarrant). These sessions are designed to share transition information and tips with students who have disabilities and their parents; they will be especially relevant for students who will be graduating soon or who have already graduated.

Last night's session featured a Community Knights' pilot program, COACH - which stands for Creating Opportunities to Advance Capable Hands. Cassie Brown, Rita White, and Jennifer Brown shared some really great information about this program!

It is never too soon for students and their parents to start planning for life after high school. We encourage you to click on any of the links in this article for more information about Community Knights' COACH program.
